11 Days and Counting

Well, if the purpose of this trip is to inspire me, to help me get ideas, and to recharge my battery, then that is happening.  I've sorted through over 200 e-mails from my listserv teacher group for JFMF.  And I'm trying to catch up with those teachers who have already begun planning their free time.

In Tokyo I hope to go to DisneySea. I'm signed up to go to a baseball game.  I may get to see drumming, do yoga, and possibly sumo, though few teachers have mentioned sumo.  I also want to go used-kimono shopping, step into an antique store, and a toy store, maybe see the Sony building.

I've learned that our city, Seijo, is not far from Hiroshima by bullet train, so that will be exciting!
Today I'm prepping my photo album to take on the trip, and learning more about how to use my borrowed video camera.  So much to do, and to learn before I go!!

Some of the teachers already have their own websites and have extensively posted on their blogs.  I want to do more!!

Before we leave

May 5--I'm learning how to use this site and how to blog in general.  Today's Japan duties include creating a blog site, faxing the required paperwork, and setting up an international calling card.
